General description

On-Premise Data Gateway is installed in On-Premises Virtual Machines and can be used to expose the data from On-Premise systems Azure Logic Apps. In our scenario, we use it to expose On-Premise systems via Logic Apps.  This is foundational to some of the integrations we use and we treat this as a platform asset which is reused by many interfaces.  We need to monitor this effectively.

Monitoring and logging

For monitoring the Data Gateways, a monitoring profile is used. With this profile, monitoring happens for:

• The state of the Data Gateway (no automated recovery)

• Percentage CPU

• OS Disk Metrics

• Data Disk Metrics

Notifications are sent via Microsoft Teams Channels (no escalation policy).
